At the Alimentarium ‘Museum
of Food’ their focus is strictly food, modern and historical,
as well as scientific and ethnological. The garden located in the
museum has a variety of food plants representing the various seasons
and regions of Switzerland. The museum is open all week, except
during the summer, in which it is closed on Mondays. Located in
Vevey off Leman street 15 minutes by foot from the train station.

Explore the mystical and scientific
museum of Audiorama, the museum of audio-visual entertainment. Here
you will discover the inner workings of the radio, television, gramophone
and other audio-visual born inventions. This is an outstanding collection
of objects of historical value and a must see tourists visiting
this region. Open all week except Mondays, small entrance fee, children
16 and younger enter free of charge. No reservation necessary.

Château de Chillon is one
of the most beautiful historic buildings in Switzerland, on the
shore of the Lake of Geneva, next to Montreux. An extraordinary
medieval fort set in a lovely scenic location! No Swiss historic
monument is better known throughout the world. It has become a symbol
of the Swiss, representative of its beauty, the harmony of its shape
and the visible strength and stability it exudes. Built on the water's
edge, Chillon is unique with one side a fortress facing the ancient
road to Italy, the other a princely residence facing the Lake of
Geneva.
Chillon Castle is closed
2 days a year: 1st January, and the 25th of December. Hours of operation
are January, February, November, and December: 10 am to 4 pm. March
and October: 9:30 am to 5 pm. April through September: 9 am to 6
pm. Prices range from 3 Euros to 53 Euros depending on the individuals
age and group rates.

collection of the History Museum is housed in a 17th century building
in the Old Town. Four main themes, relating to the region's development,
are dealt with, from the Dawn of History to the Age of Tourism:

* Local artifacts, furniture and items of everyday life
* Tourism, vigor and expansion of the hotel trade and that of the
town

At the Jenisch Museum in alternation
with temporary exposures of contemporary art, the collections of
the Museum of the fine arts of Vevey, which includes tables of Bocion,
Hodler, Music, Valenti, Alechinsky among others, and those of the
Foundation Kokoschka Oscar. On the ground floor, the cantonal Cabinet
of the prints reserves two rooms with the temporary exposures. Its
collection of engravings from the Renaissance to today, with accents
on Dürer, Rembrandt and Corot.

Exclusive
The visitors can admire, in three
dimensions, of the video sequences of the Plays of Nagano 1998.
Each one can become member of the Association of the Friends of
the Olympic Museum and the children from 9 to 15 years have the
possibility of being registered with the Pyrsos Club. Both give
right a chart of member for the admission free to the Olympic Museum
during one year.
Infrastructures and services
for congresses and various demonstrations
We have of an auditorium of 170
places and five conference rooms with installations with the signal
level as well as restaurant with terrace and un spoilable view on
the Alps and the Lake Léman, of a shop, a library and a video
library, an Olympic Center of studies and an educational service
for the schools.

The Swiss museum of Photography
is a collection of photographic apparatuses. Richly illustrated,
the museum is equipped with audio-visual and interactive installations
in German and English.
Hours of operation: March-October,
from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 am to 5:30 pm November-February,
from Tuesday to Sunday from 2 pm with 5:30 pm closed Monday (except
Easter Monday, the Pentecost, and the federal Fast and non-working
Mondays).

Switzerland and the canton of
