Host families
ESL chooses their host families with great care, visits them regularly and knows them all. What’s more, because ESL believe that your accommodation is an extremely important part of your stay, they have a homestay coordinator who maintains regular contact with the host families. There’s
no doubt that students who choose to live with a French-speaking
family assimilate the language much more rapidly. Daily contact
with the family enables you to practice the language constantly,
as well as to explore the mentality, expressions and customs of
the French-speaking Swiss people in a pleasant and friendly setting.
Friendships are often forged, and many students keep in touch with
their host families long after their stay has ended.
