Special Courses: Don Quijote

Spanish and Scuba

This unique course combines quality Spanish courses with safe and practical scuba diving lessons. As an option this program will allow you to combine Scuba lessons with any Spanish program at don Quijote.

Beginner Course

Two-week scuba diving course plus the Intensive Spanish course.

Requirements:

  • 4 forms of photo ID’s
  • The ability to swim

Services included:

  • All standard don Quijote services
  • 5-days of theory course in Spanish (2.5 hours daily)
  • 2-days scuba in the swimming pool (4 hours daily)
  • 3-days scuba in the sea (4 hours daily)
  • 1-day final scuba test
  • Comprehensive accidental insurance
  • All necessary equipment
  • Diploma and provisional P.A.D.I certificate for open water diver
  • Transportation to and from scuba locations

Advanced Course

Two-week scuba diving course plus the Intensive Spanish course.

Requirements:

  • P.A.D.I certificate for open water diving

  • 1-deep immersion
  • 1-immersion from boat
  • 1-underwater orientation immersion
  • 1-night immersion

  • Transportation to and from scuba locations

Spanish and Leisure for Ages 50+

Spanish courses for mature adultsIf you are enjoying your second spring and desire a program specifically tailored to you, then this is it! With this program you will have the opportunity to learn Spanish with a group of mature adults your own age. You will also have many opportunities for dancing, site seeing, cooking, exploring and enjoying the Spanish way of life on the Canary Islands, where spring never ends!

Required level: Beginners to Advanced
Minimum age: 50 years old

Dancing class: Salsa and Merengue (history of Latin dance and practical class)
Tuesday:
Today’s Spain: political, cultural and economic topics of Spain today.
Wednesday:
Excursion to “La Orotava”
Wednesday:
Singing and music class: Spanish and Latin America songs.
Thursday:
Canary culture & History : visit to Archeological museum.
Thursday:
Visit of the botanical garden, preceded by a class on Nature in Canary Islands.
Friday:
Theoretical class of Spanish cooking and visit to the local market.
Friday:
Dancing class (merengue and salsa rhythms).
Saturday:
standard excursion in the price included (for all students)
Saturday:
Tapas tour (for all students, tapas have to be paid by the students)
