Methodology
The
native-speaking teachers have a university degree in Spanish philology
and have had professional teacher training. Their knowledge and
experience in teaching foreign students guarantee top-quality training.
In teaching, the direct method
is used, this means that Spanish is the language of instruction
and the use of other languages is avoided as much as possible. The
vocabulary and grammar are taught in context. Summaries of grammar
and written or oral exercises are provided in our schoolbooks, which
are designed by the teachers.
Much emphasis is put on the speaking
ability of the students. Students will have to prepare small oral
lectures and presentations to hold group discussions. In addition
audio and video equipment, songs, newspapers, magazines and language
games are used to incorporate the many different ways a language
can be used.
AZ Malaga offers 3 different
types of courses:
- Standard Course (4 lessons/day from 9:30 - 13:30
and * 17:00 - 21:00)
- Intensive Course (6 lessons/day from 8:30 -
14:30 )
- Individual Tuition
* in the high and some time
in the mid season classes will be held in the afternoon as well.
After
every lesson of 45 minutes there is a 10 minute break. The main
break of 30 minutes is held from 11:15 to 11:45 (in the afternoon
from 18:45 to 19:15). Before the main half hour break, lessons concentrate
on grammar and afterwards on conversation.
The class groups are evenly matched
and contain a maximum of 8 students. Keeping the classes on a smaller-scale
leaves plenty of opportunity to speak openly and frequently during
conversation classes, as well, it makes it easier to meet your fellow
classmates!
