Skiing the Sierra Nevada The Ski and Mountain resort of the Sierra Nevada is about 16 miles from Granada. The resort provides ideal conditions for skiing including more snow and sunny skies. The slopes cover an area of 2,500 hectares and descend about some 1,300 meters with different degrees of difficulty. Other facilities include 19 ski lifts, artificial snow system, 280 Snow Cannons, 2 Gondola’s and several lifts, restaurants and ski schools. It also has the feature of night skiing where you can ski even after the sun sets.
Sierra Nevada's has more to offer than just skiing. During summer there are options for leisure and sports activities. Mountaineering, climbing, walking, mountain bike and horse riding are ideal at this time of the year where visitors can enjoy the pleasant, mountain climate and natural beauty. The Natural Park of Sierra Nevada is definitely worth a visit.
