Location
Granada city is the capital of the province called
Granada situated in the eastern part of Andalusia. Granada is located
at the foot of the sierra Nevada mountains, at the crossroads of
the Darro and Genil rivers. The region is very diverse featuring
warm climate along the coastal areas and much cooler climate in
the mountainous regions. The Veleta peak and the Mulhacen peaks,
about 25 miles from Granada, are the highest peak in the Iberian
peninsula.
