The winter session
includes 90 contact hours. Intermediate students will
enroll in Grammar (45 hours) and Culture (45 hours.)
Advanced students can choose 2 courses: Grammar (45
hours), Culture (45 hours), or Social Political Issues
in Modern Chile (45 hours). The price includes accommodations
with a host family, 2 meals per day, laundry service
by the host family, access to the international office,
usage of school computers and libraries, access to
a gym, student ID card, placement test, official transcripts
upon completion and orientation session upon arrival.

(45 hours). In addition to the Grammar Course (45
hours), advanced students can choose 1 additional
course: Conversation & Culture (45 hours), Contemporary
Chilean Literature (45 hours), or Social Political
Issues in Modern Chile (45 hours). The price includes
accommodations with a host family, 2 meals per day,
laundry service by the host family, access to the
international office, usage of school computers and
libraries, access to a gym, student ID card, placement
test, official transcripts upon completion, a weekly
walking/hiking tour of Valparaiso, and orientation
session upon arrival.

The semester program includes
classes with international students including Communication
in Spanish (90 hours) and Composition (46 hours).
Students also have the opportunity to take up to 3
elective courses (contact hours vary) with local students.
The price includes courses listed above, accommodations
with a host family, 3 meals per day, laundry service
by the host family, access to the international office,
usage of school computers and libraries, access to
a gym, student ID card, placement test and advisement
on course offerings that are suitable for each individual
student, intramural sports, official transcripts upon
completion, extra-curricular activities and workshops,
and a week long orientation session upon arrival in
Chile.
