International Student Support

The International Programs Department (D.P.I) coordinates an eclectic Study Abroad Program based on intensive Spanish modules and courses in Humanities, International Business, Latin American literature, Intercultural Studies and Environmental Sciences.

The department has set up an excellent linguistic exchange program allows international students to practice Spanish and make new friend by pairing up with Costa Rican Students enrolled in the regular Art Degree Programs.

The Student Affairs office is in charge of coordinating a excellent homestay program with cultural oriented families who receive international students during their stay in Costa Rica. They also arrange for airport pickups.

Finally, within the Student Affairs office Veritas operates a travel agency called Tico Viajero Expresso. The purpose of this specialized agency is to guarantee our students the best prices for weekend excursions and fun adventures. Tico Viajero also coordinates extracurricular activities such as football matches, picnics, cultural activites and field trips with professors from elective courses.

In sum, the sole purpose of this department and their bilingual staff is to make sure that your stay at the university and in Costa Rica is both productive and enjoyable.
