Students have the option to be picked
up on their arrival in San Jose and be transported to
the school where they will be met by their host family.
You will participate in an orientation
program which consists of a written and oral placement
exam, the expectations and rules of staying with a host
family, the Do’s and Don’ts of San Jose, an
explanation of the elective course schedule, safety issues
and video, and dealing with culture shock, fear and your
expectations.

While studying in Costa
Rica you will want to experience as much of the country
as possible. Universidad Veritas understands this and has
a travel agency on-site to help you with all of your travel
needs. The agency also helps to organize special short-term
interest programs lasting 1 to 15 days in topics such as
Ecology, Geology, Gender Studies, Sociology, Archeology
and other topics.
