Salamanca: Transportation
Salamanca is a relatively compact
city so reliance on public transportation is not necessary if
one is willing to walk. The old historical center of the city
where the Plaza Mayor is located is the core of all the action:
nightlife, university, and shopping. A main road encircles this
area; beyond this you will find apartment and residential buildings.
Bus
Any one-way ticket by bus will cost less than 1 Euro.
Bono passes can be bought at any Caja Duero Bank for around 3€.
This punch card gives you 10 rides for half the price.
Be prepared busses become
very crowded on rainy days!
Taxi
Taxis are readily available from taxi points located just outside
of the Plaza Mayor or just outside the old quarter area.
Train
It is easy to get around from town to
town on the train.
