CEPE itself is the language school for foreigners set up by the prestigious Universidad de Guadalajara, which is recognized by numerous major universities around the world. The language school in Puerto Vallarta was established in 1994 and is located in the heart of the charming colonial section of the city. From the steps of the school, one is only blocks away from everything of interest, including the excellent beaches.

Due to the fact that this school is part of the University of Guadalajara, it offers one of the best Spanish language programs found in the country. The facilities are perfect for small group and/or individual instruction and all the teachers work for the university which means they are all well trained and very qualified. The school also makes use of excellent materials put together by CEPE and the University of Guadalajara.

As with many of our other schools, CEPE not only provides general Spanish language study, but can also provide specialized language instruction.

Standard Program: Group instruction, 5 lessons per day, 10 students max per class. Learning is based on the Communicative Approach, without losing sight of the need for grammatical accuracy. Spanish language courses are taught in Spanish and are designed to help students acquire fluency and sufficient communicative skills to cope with any situation that they are likely to encounter. On arrival, students are tested for both written and spoken competence. On the basis of this placement test, they are assigned to the most appropriate level for their own benefit.
