Program Overview:
BWS Germanlingua
BWS
Germanlingua was founded in 1984 and today enjoys a reputation
as one of the best German language schools in Germany due
to the high level of teaching and the very friendly and personalized
atmosphere found at the school. Today BWS is located in a
quiet site close to the city center, only 150m from the main
pedestrian zone. Being centrally located within Munich means
that students are close to most places of interest within
the city. The school currently has 10 modern classrooms, a
student library and a student cafeteria for quick snacks and
something to drink.
The cafeteria is a popular
meeting place during the breaks and also enables an intensive
interchange between students and teachers out of lesson time.
Here, joint activities for the evenings and weekends are planned
and these often form the beginning of a lasting friendship
- not only with other students and teachers, but also with
the city of Munich. Many of our students return to visit more
than once.
The basis of the method used
focuses on the modern usage of the German language. BWS focus
on the understanding of both, spoken and written language,
as well as the ability to express oneself orally and in writing.
The
teaching follows a clear progression and aims to train grammar
and sentence structures and expand vocabulary. The alternating
of teaching methods guarantees optimum learning success. In
individual, partner or group work our students train their
reading and listening comprehension as well as written and
oral expression. The main focus is on oral communication,
which you can put into practice not only in role plays, language
learning games and discussions, but also in the leisure activities
with your teachers. Regular tests integrated into the lessons
allow course participants to assess their own progress.
In addition to excellent classes
BWS offers a highly varied program of social/cultural activities
which allows students to improve their German, make friends
from all over the world and discover Germany. Activities and
events include evenings out, film shows, games, competitions
and parties. Outside the school you will have the chance to
learn about different aspects about German life, culture and
history. BWS offers visits to sites of interest, churches,
museums, pubs and discos. |
