The Process Utilized By The Chinese Language School In Shanghai

Placement Tests (to determine Chinese language level)
Upon arrival at the Chinese language school in Shanghai all students will take an placement test to determine their level of Chinese language proficiency. Based upon the results of the test students will be placed in an appropriate Chinese language class.

Your Chinese Language Class
The Chinese language school places a strong focus on the practical usage of the Chinese language. Approximately half of your class time will devoted to speaking and listening exercises. Additionally role playing, vocabulary games and other activities will be used to help you study and learn Chinese. Every couple of weeks you will change teachers. This will help you adapt to different speaking styles which will help your Chinese language acquisition.

Real World Experiences And Practice
Throughout your Chinese language program you will explore different parts of Shanghai. Besides providing an excellent way in which to learn more about the Chinese and the city, it puts students in situations where they must utilize the skills they learn in class.

Developmental Report
After every 20 classes students will receive a report. This report will help you to chart your progress while at the same time identifying problem area which need further work.

Quality Teaching System
The Chinese language school in Shanghai continually conducts evaluations of their Chinese language teachers. On an ongoing basis teachers participate in workshops to improve their ability to teach Chinese. The in house training section of the school regularly observes classes in session to ensure a productive environment.

Certificate Of Achievement
At the end of your Chinese program you can receive a certificate from the Chinese language school. You must opt take a test (and pass it), while at the same time attended more the 80% of all of your Chinese language classes. This certificate includes the duration and name of the course, plus a commentary on the students' proficiency level.
