Shanghai: The Bund
Today in Shanghai, the Bund is one of the top destinations for tourists coming to this city. This is due not only to its history, but to the beauty of the area. The river and skyline are stunning, the city of Shanghai has put in a nice greenbelt along the river, and the buildings of the area have a nice range of historic (European) architectural styles. Today you can find banks, business, consulates, shops and nice restaurants in the area. It is a great place to spend some time and soak up a little of Shanghai.

The
Bund is one of the key features and symbols of Shanghai, and has
been so for the last couple of hundred years. Today the Bund stretches
along the western bank of the Huangpu River for a distance of a
little over a mile. On the other side of the river you will have
a great view of the Oriental Pearl Tower and the massive Jin Mao
Tower.
