Levels
The following information is designed to give you
an idea of what you can expect to cover and learn when you come
to study and learn Chinese at out partner Chinese language school
in Beijing (China). The following are guidelines only.
Beginner Chinese
You will cover and learn the following Chinese language topics:
- Chinese phonetics and tones
- At least 300 words and 50 grammar and sentence structures
- 1000 common sentences and conversations including:
- introductions
- day and time
- likes and dislikes
- shopping
- using a taxi
- using the phone
- making an appointment
- dining in a restaurant
- etc.
Elementary Chinese 1 - 2
You will cover and learn the following Chinese language topics:
- Continue work on phonetics, tones and pronunciation
- At least 600 words and 100 grammar and sentence structures
- 2000 common sentences and conversations including:
- purchasing clothing
- various hobbies
- Chinese zodiac signs
- weather / climate
- sightseeing
- excursions
- hotel reservations
- booking tickets, exchanging money
- doctor visits
- use of trains
- understanding Chinese festivals
Intermediate Chinese 1 - 3
Upon completion of the beginning to elementary levels of Chinese
you will understand simple messages, instructions and directions
in Chinese. You will be able to speak in Chinese as it relates to
daily activities and will feel comfortable using certain grammatical
constructions.
Intermediate Chinese levels will focus on topics
concerning the overseas experience in China, whether it be living
in, working in or sightseeing within China. All the texts are composed
of dialogue using conversational Chinese from everyday situation;
the lessons are practical and interesting.
Advanced Chinese
1 - 2
When you enter the advanced Chinese level, you have a good comprehension
of most non - specialist texts and a very good understanding of
grammatical construction.
After finishing advanced levels, you will become
a confident communicator, and can understand with ease virtually
everything heard or read. You can summarize information from different
spoken and written sources, reconstruction, arguments and accounts
in a coherent presentation. You can express yourself spontaneously,
very fluently and precisely; differentiating finer nuances of meaning
even in more complex situations.
