Overview: AZ Brest
The
French school in Brest specializes in the teaching of French
as a foreign language. Founded in 1987, the French language
school in Brest is run by the Brest Chamber of Commerce and
Industry. It is a state-recognized school which operates within
the framework of a cooperation agreement with the University
of Western Brittany which helps to oversee the quality of
the French language programs in Brest.
Currently the French school
is located in a beautiful 19th century manor house overlooking
a beautiful bay. The facilities are excellent and the classrooms
are ideally suited to small group instruction. Students have
access a language lab, a multimedia room, student lounge and
a cafeteria. All French teachers are university graduates,
who specialized in teaching French to foreigners and are chosen
by highly selective recruitment procedures.
The French school in Brest
places constant attention on updating teaching methods and
creating a relaxed classroom atmosphere conducive to French
language study. As with all of our
programs in France you will also have the opportunity to take
part in a variety of activities and excursions outside of
class. CIEL organizes these activities to help discover the
region of Brittany. You will have a chance to visit numerous
natural settings both delicate or grand, small towns with
character, and old medieval castles. |

Standard
French Program: 20 lessons per week (Max 15 students per
class). This program is for individuals who need to express themselves
with the greatest possible fluency, whether for leisure or professional
purposes. The course is based upon the communicative method. Included
in the course will be discussions, role playing, short talks, written
expression, essays and suggested dialogues in which grammar is practiced.
Individual
French Language Training: 4-6 classes per day. This course
is perfect for individuals who have very little time or who need
a very intensive program.

family.

2 meals per day with host family.

Students have the option to stay in an hotel
or an apartment. Prices and availability vary depending on the
time of year.

fax service.
Start Dates: Absolute
Beginners must start on the following dates. All other levels
can begin on any Monday of the year. Individual Language Training
classes can begin on any Monday.
