Program Overview: AZ Bordeaux

AZ Bordeaux French language school is located in the heart of the Bordeaux "chic" district right off a street called rue Lafaurie de Monbadon. Today the French school uses two stately 19th century buildings that are both very stylish and wonderfully preserved, which are just a stones throw from the Place (Plaza) Gambetta. Foreigners have been learning French at the French language school in Bordeauxsince 1992 and today has a reputation as one of the best French schools in France. Recognized by the French Ministry of Education, the French school offers a series of excellent French language courses designed to fit the needs of any individual that is studying abroad in France.

The French lessons at the French language school Bordeaux are lively and varied. The emphasis is on conversation but, of course, the French school also pays attention to grammar, reading, listening and writing. These methods are above all interactive and communicative. Authentic materials are also used for a better understanding of the social and cultural aspects of France. The programs are structured but flexible, allowing the courses to be adapted to the students' level and pace.

Besides offering excellent French language programs in Bordeaux, the school also offers (and or assists in arranging) a variety of interesting cultural activities and weekend excursions allowing student the chance to really get to know France.

As with many of our other schools, we not only provide general French language study, but can also provide specialized French programs for business people, lawyers, teachers, etc. who want to study abroad in specialized courses are offered under a private instruction format.

Standard French Program: Group Frenchinstruction, 4 French lessons per day. Small, classes of 5 to 12 students (an average of 5) allowing individual attention and the opportunity for you to actively participate during the lessons. Open to individuals of all levels.

Intensive French Program: Group instruction, 6 lessons per day. Small, classes of 5 to 12 students (an average of 5) allowing individual attention and the opportunity for you to actively participate during the lessons. Note: During the 2 lessons in the afternoon the class has a maximum class size of 4 students. Open to individuals from beginner to intermediate levels. Perfect for those individual who don't have much time or who just need a more intensive language program.

Combined French Program: Group instruction, 22 French lessons per week followed by either 4-8 private lessons per week. The group portion is set up in the same form as the Standard French Program. Open to individuals of all levels. Perfect for those individual who don't have much time or who just need a more intensive language program.

Business French: Group instruction, 4 lessons per day followed by 2 lessons per day of private instruction. Centered on the business world, this course is geared to suit the specific requirements of executives and business people aiming to acquire a real ease in commercial French, through: reports, commercial correspondence, business presentations (organization chart, business setting-up), job presentation, current commercial topics, etc.

Individual French Language Training: 2-4 classes per day. This course is perfect for individuals who have very little time or who need a very intensive program.

French Summer Course For Teens In Biarritz: 13-17 years old Includes : 15 lessons of French per week, Visit & excursions Sporting & cultural activities Full board accommodation with host family.

• Private room in a host family with a host family.
• Students have the option to stay in an apartment. This option is perfect for those students studying 1-6 months.
• 2 meals per day with host family during the weekday. 3 meals per day on the weekends.
• Books, handouts, etc.
• Airport pickup is free for those staying with host family. All other transfers do have a fee.

Start Dates: Beginners must start on the following dates. Intermediate and Advanced students can begin on any Monday of the year.

High School Program: Not offered in 2008
