HIGH SCHOOL SPANISH CAMP
SAN SEBASTIAN, SPAIN
The Spanish school that hosts the Spanish camp for high school
students during the summer is located right in the center
of the historic city of San Sebastian. All of the major sites
of interest are within walking distance from the Spanish school.
San Sebastian is particularly popular for teens as the summer
temperatures are more mild than other parts of Spain and the
beach location adds an additional spark for high school students.
The beach which San Sebastian is best known for is less than
10 minutes walking distance from the school.
The high school Spanish
camp has been in existence for several years and receives
some of the best feedback out of all teen programs offered
in Spain. The Spanish camp takes place at the same facilities
that offer the adult Spanish courses and include intensive
Spanish courses that rival those taken by adults.The building
where the Spanish camp is held has some of the nicest facilities
in any Spanish school throughout Spain.
The school is composed of specially designed class rooms,
a library, computer room, and break room for all Spanish students.
The Spanish camp in San
Sebastian is perfect for those teens that want to learn Spanish
in a unique location and at a great Spanish school. The Spanish
lessons for high school students are active and practical.
The directors of the school make a conscious effort to instill
the effort needed to learn how to communicate effectively
in Spanish, while at the same time ensuring that the high
school students learn the language in an interactive and fun
atmosphere.
The
quality of the High school Spanish camp's courses are enriched
by a professional team of teachers with a strong methodology.
The Spanish students are placed in a class room seeting where
they are taught by two seperate Spanish instructors each day.
After the teens finish
their intensive Spanish courses in the morning, they will
have the remainder of the date to enjoy the beauty and vivaciousness
of San Sebastian. A variety of cultural activites are schedules
throughout the week so that the high school students will
get a chance to get to know each other outside of the classroom,
while learning about the local culture of San Sebastian. These
added activites offer oppertunities for the high school students
to practice Spanish in a more practical setting.
The high school Spanish
camp in San Sebastian The Spanish courses included in the
camp are comprised of 5 Spanish lessons per day (Monday through
Friday). The classroom will have a maximum group size of 12
high school
Spanish students. The Spanish camp in San Sebastian also includes
a extracurricular activities during four afternoons per week,
which incude sport matches, cultural and histolrical tours,
get togethers, Spanish films and beach vistis.
The schedule for the high
school Spanish courses is from 9:30AM to 1:45PM) The Spanish
instruction is modeled after the adult program but is altered
to meet the interests of high school Spanish students.
Spanish Host Family
Accommodations
All high school students
will stay with a local host family while studying Spanish
in San Sebastian. Each host family is specially selected based
on their previous experience with all of the Spanish schools
past students The Spanish family will provide 3 meals each
day.
The high school students
will stay in a private room while at the Spanish camp unless
they have a freind coming with them to share a room. The Spanish
school places all teens from around 5-20 minutes from the
school by bus or on foot.

Camp Start Dates
The Spanish camp in San
Sebastian is open during the summer from June 4th to August
17th. Absolute beginners must start their Spanish
courses on July 2 or August 6th.

sports, cultural activities 4 times a week, Spanish
host family with single or double room, and all meals.
1 Lesson =45 minutes.
Single Room is the only option
if you are not travelling with another teen or adult.

Teen Arrival in San Sebastian,
Spain
The quickest route for
teens to arrive in San Sebastian is to take a connecting flight
from Madrid. The Spanish camp offers airport pickup service
at the San Sebastian airport at an additional cost. We must
receive the high school student's flight information at least
two week prior to their arrival date for the Spanish camp
in ordar for us to arrange the service. Airport pickup is
also available for the airport in Bilbao, Spain as well as
Biarritz, France. All teens must arrange an airport pickup
service unless they are travelling to the summer camp in Spain
with their parents.
Teen Supervision at
the Spanish Camp
The Spanish summer camp
in San Sebastian provides a moderate amount of supervision
for high school students. There will be times when the teens
are NOT supervised by camp staff. There are a few days each
week where the camp does not offer activities for the high
school students. Teens attending the Spanish camp are expected
to be at the highest maturity level for their age group and
must follow the rules presented by the summer camp. High school
students do stay with local host families which provides a
moderate amount of supervision. In respect to the safety of
all students, teens are subject to immediate dismissal if
they do not follow camp rules.
