French immersion programs for Teenagers in Paris France

Paris Junior Program
Accord
Ages 13-17

ACCORD Language School was founded in 1988 and specializes in offering high quality French language programs to students of all levels of French language proficiency. Over the years Accord has taught French to well over 20,000 students from close to 50 different countries. Today the school has achieved a world wide reputation and is recognized by the Academy of Paris and various German government organizations and is a part of the prestigious Souffle organization.

Accord's French immersion program for teenagers allows the best of two worlds: students live outside of Paris, in a green and open environment where they can relax and play outdoor sports. Yet the school is close enough to the capitol to allow many visits to the famous attractions, such as the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and other hot spots. The residence is particularly adapted for young people. Classrooms are bright, spacious and are all equipped with audio-visual materials.

This program is specifically designed for teenagers between the ages of 13 to 17. Parents will find that Accord language school meets their expectations when it comes to quality teaching, security, comfort, hygiene, wholesome meals...and students will find that their expectations are met when they discover Paris, meet new friends from diverse backgrounds, practice sports and just plain have fun as well as learn French.

Teaching Methods

The teachers at ACCORD are all University graduates, fully accredited in the teaching of French as a foreign language. Each teacher is selected for their knowledge and experience in teaching younger students. Because the instructors participate in extra-curricular activities this allows them to spend more time with the students outside of class.

In class teachers focus on oral communication, using engaging documents such as songs, TV programs, movies, and magazines. The teachers have compiled a wide range of games and activities that make the learning of grammar, structure, vocabulary and pronunciation of French interesting and fun.

French Classes

On the first day of classes, students take both a written and oral placement test, so as to ascertain the appropriate class for their knowledge and skill of the French language.

Classes take place in the morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students attend classes three times a day for 55 minutes each time. This amounts to 15 hours of in-class instruction each week. Classes take place at the student residence, with a maximum of 15 students per multinational class.

Upon completion of this program, students will be awarded a certificate of attendance. The certificate states their level of knowledge of the French language as well as the number of hours that they have completed with ACCORD.
