JUNIOR PROGRAM
(Ages 14-17)
The French school that hosts our Summer Junior French program was founded in 1984, and today has
a reputation as one of the best French language schools in
France. The school staff are committed to providing students with the
very best conditions to help them towards their objective, which is
Learning the French language and discovering French culture.
Today the school is situated in an attractive building that’s
centrally located within the city. From the school, students
are just minutes away from most points of interest within
the city. The building currently has 9 classrooms, a self-study
room, a computer lab for internet access, and a terrace for
students to relax on. This school has consistently received
great reviews from participants over the year.
Students will receive a total of 20 French
lessons per week divided into four lessons per day from Monday
to Friday. A lesson is 45 minutes long. Classes are held from
9:00-12:15. On the first day the students are given a placement
test and the students are divided into language classes according
to their level. ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. At the
end of the program, and upon its successful completion, students
will be given a certificate of completion.
Accommodations in Nice
Students will live with local host families
that have been screened by the school. All students will be placed in a double room with another student of the same gender. The families are in
close contact with the school. The families will provide the
students with breakfast and dinner in the home. The school will provide a lunch for all students. The host families give students the opportunity
to be fully immersed in the French culture.
French Teen Program Start Activities
In addition the the intensive French courses, the French school in Nice provides a full activity schedule through each week of the Teen program. Students will participate in a daily activity after classes which can include sports, cultural activities and excursions. These can include soccer, basketball, kayaking, swimming, visits to the best museums, and trips to Monaco, Antibes, Cannes, etc. Students must attend these activities and act in a mature fashion to ensure safety for the group.
French Teen Program Start Dates
The school will be open from July 4th through
July 31st. Students can start on July 4th or July 18th. The school closes for juniors on July 31st.
Arriving in Nice
Parents will need to provide their teen's flight details to A2Z Languages in advance for airport pickup. The assigned host family will arrange the pickup service with the provided flight information.
Supervision
The students will spend a substantial amount of time on their
own. The school does provide afternoon activities every week day as well as a full day excursion each weekend. The host
families do provide a certain level of supervision but it
should be noted that the students will be treated as mature
young adults.
