French Summer Camp

The French school that hosts the summer camp for teens in Monteal, Canada has been in existence since the early 60's and has been providing high school students from around the world with a complete French immersion experience. The French school in Montreal offers high-quality academic studies, social activities, and carefully selected housing in Montreal Canada.

The French summer camp is centrally located in this safe, friendly city. The school is close to public transit and a wide variety of shops and restaurants.

The classrooms are brightly lit and spacious. The extensive French student resource center is a multi-media facility. It contains computers, French audio materials, and a reading room. High school French students can take advantage of the Student Resource Centre for independent or guided study.

The French language school takes pride in being large enough to have full-time staff dedicated to each service area yet small enough to know their teen French students on a first-name basis.

Learning French in Canada is a unique experience. This particular French camp is world class and Montreal provides a safe living environment as well as a large city for extensive activities during the teen's camp stay. The school is on par with any school in France and will help all teens with their language goals, and learn about Canadian customs.

French Camp Overview

The Montreal French summer camp offers an effective small-group French course combined with an adventure in Canadian culture and lifestyle. In July - August the French language school hosts teens from ages 14 to 17 from diverse areas of the globe.

Teen French courses are offered in French in small groups. The teen French program allows the student to learn French in Canada through an entertaining and meaningful context. Speaking the language and listening take priority.

French summer camp activities are chosen to ensure that the high school students are offered a balance of sports with a variety of interesting cultural outings. The French language school teen monitors ensure that our young clients are well-supervised during activities.

High school French students stay with a local host family. Special care is taken in selecting a Canadian host family who have an active interest in teens and who create a welcoming home..

Montreal French Summer Camp Program

Summer Camp Program: Instruction in French class: 9:00AM to 12:00PM
Lunch / Activities: 12:00PM to 4:00PM
Levels: 5 levels
Course Start: Any Monday (during the scheduled dates)
Course Length: 2-8 weeks
Average Class Size: 8 high school French students
Maximum Class: 15 high school French students
Length of Lesson: 55 minutes
Materials: Included in course fee
# French Lessons: 3 hours of French instruction each day
Performance: Daily appraisal by teacher, a school certificate is awarded upon completion of the French camp
Host Family: 3 meals each day, 7 days per week
Supervision: A camp director guides high school students on all camp activities.
Transportation:

Round Trip airport pickup and dropoff, bus fare provided for travel to and from the camp each day

Teen French Courses in Montreal

All teens attending the French summer camp in Montreal will receive 3 lessons of French clas in the mornings. The French program coordinator is available during the lessons to provide a link between the summer campus and the school office. High school students have French classes and lunch on site. After all of the activities are over for the day, directors at the camp will take students back to the school. The summer camp director is at the school in the afternoon to welcome all teens as the arrive at the school after the camp afternoon schedule. All teens attending the French summer camp will have internet access.

High school Students will have a little over one hour each day of free time to chech their email or explore the city with other students from the Montreal summer

The French Summer Camp Includes

  • Host family accommodation and full board 7 days per week
  • 15 French lessons in per week
  • Lunch and supervised activities including sports Monday to Friday
  • Two-way airport transfer
  • Transportation to and from school and included activities via Montreal transit system
  • Medical insurance to a maximum of $1,000,000 Canadian

Optional Summer Camp Weekend Excursions

French Summer Camp Activites All excursions outside Montreal are offered on an optional basis to all high school students enrolled in the French summer camp. These excursions are optional as they come at an additional cost. High school students are also allowed to join the adult French students for the optional evening activities as long as no alcohol is involved, such as going to a night club to dance. All excursion prices are subject to change. A tentative schedule is provided below to give a general idea of the excursion program format and approximate pricing.

The French Summer Camp in Montreal includes group French courses, Cultural activites, host family accommodations, and 3 meals per day. Students can opt out of the accommodations if they are travelling with their parents or staying with local relatives.
