Villeneuve
Located at the eastern end
of Lake Geneva, Villeneuve is an ancient and picturesque town
full of delights for the visitor. The Town Hall (formerly a hospital)
is outstanding, with its square tower, noble appearance and splendid
ribbed vaulting. The church of Saint-Paul, in the Grand-Rue, has
beautiful coats of arms from the House of Savoy. The art gallery
in the old town exhibits paintings, engravings, objects d' art
and antiques in a medieval setting.

charms is the "Train des Vignes" which runs from Vevey
to Chexbres-Puidoux, from where you can take a panoramic lift
to the heights of Mont-Pèlerin. The train takes visitors
through the unique vineyards and picturesque villages of the Lavaux
region. Things to do and see are: wine-cellar visits, wine appreciation
seminars, guided wine walking tours, mountain-biking, tennis and
squash. The region also boasts a fascinating watch museum and
