San Sebastian: Beaches
The water temperature in the
summer is very pleasant, ranging from 19°-22° Celsius (66°-72°F).
In the months of January to February the temperature drops to 9°-10°
Celsius (50°F). Almost all of the beaches have lifeguards, and
there are a series of flags that provide information regarding the
tide conditions and danger of swimming.

La
Concha Beach
Made famous by Queen Isabel in 1845, La Concha Beach is considered
to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe.
Ondarreta
Beach
This beach is found at the foot of Monte Igueldo. It has an air
of aristocracyenhanced by the Villas and Gardens overlooking the
sand. Both beaches mark the bay.
La
Zurriola Beach
In 1995 a new beach was opened called La Zurriola. This is situated
on the right of the river Urumea. At one end of the beach is situated
an important service to the city, El Palacio de Congresos y Auditorio
del Kursaal.
