ClimateThe climate is not very dramatic except for the occasional thunderstorm. The northwest has mild winters with high levels of rainfall and fairly short summers. In the south summers, around March to October, are warm with very little rain. The northeast has long winters and hot summers. Many tourists visiting the beaches every day get caught out and badly sunburned as the sea breeze can considerably reduce the apparent temperature.
