The
Academia Latinoamericana resides in the heart of Cusco, just
a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas. The school occupies
a large building on one of Cusco's main avenues, Avenida El
Sol, directly in front of the most important site from pre-Colombian
Cusco, the Korikancha (Temple of the Sun). The building houses
two full floors with about 15 classrooms, a video room, a
full kitchen, an entertainment room and a sundeck. Overall
we rate the facilities to be excellent, the teachers to be
experienced and enthusiastic, and the administration very
helpful. Within a block radius of the school are countless
restaurants, shops, tour companies, cybercafes, museums, and
other important points of interest in Cusco.
Academia Latinoamericana
offers an extensive variety of Spanish language programs to
prospective students. The standard program consists of small
group instruction. In addition to the standard program, the
school offers a variety of other programs including private
classes designed to fit the needs of any individual. The variety
of Spanish language programs offered by Academia Latinoamericana
allows students to "tailor" their immersion experience.
Besides
offering excellent Spanish language programs, Academia Latinoamericana
also offers (and or assists in arranging) a variety of interesting
cultural activities and weekend excursions allowing student
the chance to really get to know Cusco and the rest of Peru.
Some of the more popular activities include dance and cooking
lessons, visits to sites of interest within Cusco and trips
to museums. Weekend trips can include trips to the Sacred
Valley of the Inca, Machu Picchu and other Inca sites, and
trips to nearby towns and markets.
As with many of our other
schools, Academia Latinoamericana not only provides general
Spanish language study, but can also provide specialized programs
for businesspeople, medical personnel, teachers, lawyers,
etc. |
