Medical Spanish: don Quijote

Spanish for Medical Professionals
This unique 2-week course has been designed, above all,
for doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Given the growing demand, don Quijote has designed a specific
Spanish course that includes medical vocabulary. In the
first week, you will have 20 lessons to improve your knowledge
of Spanish and 10 additional classes focusing on medical
terminology and information. In the second week, you will
focus entirely on the specialization, including a visit
to a hospital. Through this program of Spanish language
and culture, you will develop skills for improving communication
with your Spanish-speaking patients.
Course Content

Essential grammar
(reflexive verbs, to hurt & to like, comparison
of adjectives, pronouns, imperative verbs, verb + infinitive,
key verb.)

Alphabet, numbers,
dimensions, colors, time expressions, useful greeting
/ expressions

Spanish for Nurses
and Laboratory Technicians (analysis of blood, etc)

Duration: 2 weeks
First week: 4 hours/daily Intensive Spanish
+ 2 hours/day
Second week: 4 hours/day specialization
+ Hospital visit
Group size: maximum 16 students per class.
Required level: Intermediate
This
educational program has been approved by the Utah
Nurses Association, which is accredited as an approver
of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This
course has been approved for 30 contact hours. This course
has a UNA file number 03-05-002.
