Spanish Credit
University or Spanish credit can be provided based
on the course syllabus and an organized agreement between
the Spanish school in Playa del Carmen. Students who wish
to earn credit while studying Spanish in Playa del Carmen,
Mexico must contact their school's advisor. Your advisor
can provide information on the study abroad policies of
your home University or College. A2Z Languages can provide
a course syllabus to give to your advisor if an pre-existing
agreement is not currently in place.
Spanish Courses
The Spanish school organizes courses for an in depth
dynamic course structure that is designed to fit the requirements
of all language levels. Spanish students can start their
course on any Monday of the year except on holidays. A Spanish
level test is provided on the first day to best place you
in the correct group class.

Spanish
Instructors
The Spanish school's teachers are natives of Mexico and
each each have many years of teaching experience and know
how to maximize the benefit of all class time. The teachers
receives instruction on how to teach the Spanish language
to non-native Speakers, and many have degrees in many different
fields in addition language study. Each teacher provides
a slightly different style and you may experience the instruction
of several different Spanish teachers throughout your stay.
Focal
Point
The Spanish course in Playa del Carmen like many schools
in Mexico always keep the focus on the course on Spanish
conversation. The main structure is made up of vocabulary,
pronunciaton, and grammar principles. Reading and writing
excersizes are part of the course in order to supplement
verbal and listening skills. Below are the different levels
provided and a glimpse of the Spanish subjects that are
covered.
Beginner
Spanish - Masculine and Feminine, Spanish numbers,
definite and indefinite articles, verbs including "estar"
and "ser", adjectives, regular Spanish verbs,
irregular verbs in present tense, direct pronouns.
Beginner
Spanish 2 - Present progressive tense, present perfect
and preterite, direct and indirect pronouns in the same
sentence, reflexive Spanish verbs.
Intermediate
- Imperfect , imperfect progressive and preterit
progressive, preterit and imperfect in the same sentence,
accidental verbs, and past perfect .
Intermediate
2 - Future , conditional, passive voice, "por"
and "para", familiar and formal commands.
Advanced
- The Subjunctive

2. – Intensive analysis of grammar learned
in prior Spanish levels.

3 - Analysis of literature, newspapers, journals
and other material, Grammatical review.
Lectures
and Activities
Students will be provided with lectures including group
involvment covering local culture and history of Mexico
during the practical Spanish conversation portion of the
Spanish classes.
