Each month the Italian language school in Taormina provides students the chance to participate in a series of cultural events and excursions. The idea is to allow the language student the opportunity to learn more about Italy while at the same time improving their Italanguage language skills. Some of these activities consist of Italian movies, theatre plays in video and seminars on Italian culture and society. In addition to these free extra-curricular activities, guided excursions are offered every other weekend.

Social and extra curricular activities that are included in the cost of the Italian language program:

• Movies (free at the school)
• Lectures and seminars (free at the school)
• Theatre in video (free at the school)
• Music listening (free at the school)

Social and extra curricular activities that are NOT included in the cost of the Italian language program:

• Guided visits (additional cost)
• Excursions (additional cost)
• Dinners (additional cost)
• Live theatre (additional cost)
• Live music (additional cost)

Students can easily go to the main sites with the excursions organized by many travel agencies located in Taormina. Generally, the Italian language school's excursions will take you to places which these travel agencies don't offer. The Italian language school in Taormina prefers to take students to the places "off the beaten track" known only the locals; where the tour buses never go. In addition to this, many social activities, such as dinners, theatre performances and concerts are organized with students.

Please note: There must be at least 3 people signed up for an activity the day before the scheduled activity in order for that activity to occur. The price for the excursions and guided tours are NOT included in the Italian course price.
