Istituto Venezia: Levels of
Study
1.Elementary
This course is designed for those who have no prior knowledge of
Italian. The spoken language receives particular emphasis, and at
the end of the course students will be capable of using basic vocabulary
and applying basic grammar structures.
2.Lower
Intermediate
This course encourages students to acquire the language skills necessary
(largely through written composition and conversation) to express
opinions simply and clearly, and to engage in structured conversation.
3.Intermediate
This course introduces students to the most important colloquial
expressions in Italian, and familiarizes them with more complex
grammatical structures.
4.Upper Intermediate
The Upper Intermediate course completes the program of lessons in
grammar and colloquial expression, enabling students to use the
language with confidence in a variety of contexts.
5.Advanced
This course focuses on achieving linguistic fluency. Students learn
every aspect of Italian syntax and are acquainted with the formal
and colloquial forms most suitable for fluent speech and writing.
