Air

Nearest international airport is the 'Aurora' airport in Guatemala city. Grupo TACA has two domestic flights a day between Quetzaltenango and Guatemala City. Flight takes about 30 minutes. The journey by bus from Guatemal city airport to Quetzaltenango is about four hours. You can also take a cab. The school also organizes airport pickups, please contact us for details.

Bus

There are bus services to neithbouring towns including Guatemala city, Chichicastenango, Antigua and Huehuetenango. Due to the high demand the busses are usually crowded and there is a the possibility of having to stand while traveling. Numerous travel agencies and van service operators offer frequent and convenient shuttle and minibus services to places frequented by tourists including Antigua, Guatemala city, Panajachel and Chichi. They also offer services to remote areas but the trips are less frequent. These services cost a lot more than ordinary buses, but they are comfortable and convenient.

Car & Motorcycle

Cars, motorcycles and bicycles can easily be rented at various locations in town. There are a number of trails great for mountain biking.

Taxi

Taxis are abundant in the city. The tourist office will advise you on what is a fair rate to neighboring places. Make sure you negotiate the cost before you enter the taxi.
