Host Families
To
truly immerse students in the Guatemalan culture, Alameda
Spanish Academy carefully chooses the families with whom the
students will live.
The families provide the students with 3 daily meals, except
on Sundays. Living with a family also gives students the opportunity
to taste delicious home cooked meals. You should expect as
many as 5-7 other students in the home. You will have a private
room, but will be required to share the common areas including
the bathrooms with other individuals in the home. The
host families are middle class by local standards, which is
usually less than middle class in North America.
Other Accommodations
Other arrangements for
accommodations such as hotels and B&Bs are also available
to ensure the comfort of students.
