islands, the Cyclades are probably the most popular. They
are well known for great beaches, stunning archaeological

Getting to and from and
between these islands is easy. Travelers will find regular

islands have airports. As you travel around these islands

Meteora
One of the more interesting
places in Greece to visit are the Monasteries of Meteora.
These Monasteries, constructed centuries ago a perched atop
massive rocks and cliffs.
The name Meteora comes from the phrase "floating
in the air". Meteora is home to some amazing rock formations.
The formations alone are beautiful and worth a visit just
to see them. Even more amazing however is the fact that at
the top of many reside old Monasteries Originally build by
hermit monks, the Monasteries grew in importance over the
centuries. The location and design of the Monasteries also
afforded the monks protection, and in most cases the only
access to a monastery was by a rope and pulley. Today bridges
and walkways allow access.
