AZ Athens offers a modern Greek
language program that is considered by many to be the most comprehensive
of its kind. Over the years the Greek language school has trained
large numbers of both the diplomatic and business community in Athens,
Greece.
The Greek language programs offered
by the language school is based upon a comprehensive and integrated
approach to studying and learning modern Greek. Greek language courses
are offered throughout the year and are open to students ranging
from beginner to advanced Greek language proficiency. Class sizes
are kept small to ensure that all students receive highly personalized
attention during their Greek language immersion program. Small class
sizes pretty much guarantee that students can learn Greek in an
efficient and rapid period of time.
All language instructors at the
Greek language school in Athens are professionals with years of
experience. The methods using in the Greek classes emphasize spoken
Greek, and include language games and exercises combined with textbooks
and other materials. Instructors are Greek nationals who speak English
and several other languages.
The Greek language school also
has a program of activities that help students develop an interest
about the various facets of Greek life and culture. Extra materials
are used in all classes, and include folk songs, literature and
articles from newspapers and periodicals. Students receive certificates
at the end of each successfully completed course.
The Greek language school offers
Greek language courses from beginning through advanced levels. Each
level consists of 60 lessons of classroom instruction. Greek language
courses vary in intensity and duration, but all courses with the
same level number cover the same materials. For example, a 4 week
Accelerated Greek Course meeting
five times a week (3 hours per day) covers the same class material
as a 3 week Greek Immersion Course
meeting five times a week (4 lessons per day). The only difference
between the course relates to the number of lessons per day of classes
and the length of the Greek language course.
