Transportation
Mobility without a car is not a problem in Hamburg.
The Hamburg Transport Authority (known as the HVV) will transport
you quickly and comfortably to virtually any place in Hamburg and
surroundings aboard its buses, underground trains (U-Bahn), metro
trains (S-Bahn) and night buses. Enjoy Hamburg nightlife without
the worry of driving in town. It's safer and the night buses run
till the wee hours of the morning.
Depending of your needs you can choose between
several kind of special tickets to save money, for example the Hamburg
Card or the Power Pass.
The Hamburg Card
Experience Hamburg easy-going and at a good value
with the Hamburg CARD! Not only is all public transportation free
with the purchase of this ticket, it also includes free admission
to various museums and countless other reductions.
The Power Pass
For everybody under 30!
The Power-Pass is a transportation ticket and a guide to the scene
rolled into one. This money-saving fun pass has a lot to offer,
like free rides on public transportation, free or reduced admission
to many museums, discounts on city sightseeing tours and even the
sights themselves, coupons for discounts on movies, discos, pubs
and clubs... to name only some of the benefits. And all for only
6,70 € for the first day, 3 € for each additional day!
The pass is valid for up to 7 days.
International Airport
The Hamburg Airport is the hub between northern
and eastern Europe, and ranks very high among Germany's 16 international
airports with an annual seven million passengers and 140,000 take-offs
and landings. An additional advantage: The airport is a mere eight

Taxi Airport-Hamburg
There are taxi-ranks in front of the terminals 1 and 4. A ride
into the city-center costs about 16,00 EUR.
Train Service
Hamburg is easily accessible by train and boasts four train stations
in addition to the main train station, those being Altona, Dammtor,
Bergedorf and Harburg. Both InterCity (IC) and InterCityExpress
(ICE) trains stop at all five stations. Dammtor is particularly
convenient for trade fair visitors as it is located adjacent to
the Congress Center
