Transportation to Biarritz
There are multiple transportation methods for students to travel
to the French language school. A breif overview is given for each
of the methods listed below.
City Access
Biarritz is served by A10 auto
route linking Paris to Spain. 5 hours train journey from Paris.
More than a 100 flights per week from most major cities in France
and from London and Geneva.
Arrival in Biarritz
For those staying with host
families in Biarritz, they will automatically be greeted by a member
of the family at the airport or train station. Please provide complete
travel details at least two weeks before arrival. For those staying
at a residence-apartment or hotel they must make their way to their
chosen accommodation either by bus or taxi.
Train
When being met at the Biarritz
train station, the host family will greet you in the main hall with
a sign with your name on it. For those not being met, bus n°2
takes you directly to the centre of town. The bus ticket costs 1,2€
(5 tickets = 4,75€, 10 tickets = 9,05€). Tickets can be
bought in a newspaper shops 'tabac' or STAB shop. There are also
taxis outside the train station that will take you directly into
town, which will cost approximately 10/12€.
Airport
When being met at the Biarritz
airport, the host family will greet you at the passenger exit with
a sign with your name on it. For those not being met, there is a
bus service just outside the airport that takes you directly into
the centre of town, which costs 1.07€. A taxis into the centre
of Biarritz will cost approximately 9/12€ . There are direct
flights to Biarritz once week from Paris, Clermont Ferrand, Nice,
Lyon, Geneva and London.
