Museum of modern and contemporary art

The Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art specializes in European and American works from the 1960s to the present.

Franciscan Museum

The museum shows the Franciscan way of life from the 18th century. The 15th-17th century church contains documents and artwork, including three paintings by Louis Brea.

Musée Masséna

It has an excellent collection of Italian, Germanic, Flemish and Spanish paintings. Also on display are sculptures, fabrics, furniture, decorations, weapons, uniforms and other artifacts collected over the years.

Musée Matisse

The Matisse Museum has a fine collection of works by Henri Matisse. The museum presents the life and career of the artist. On display are paintings, gouaches cut out, sculptures, drawings, engravings including his furniture and clothing.
