Weather
Brittany is on the northwest
coast of France. In summer it has a warm temperate climate enabling
even palm trees and mimosa to flourish. Rainfall is distributed
throughout the year and provides for the lush green countryside,
May being the driest month of the year. The coastal regions can
get pretty hot in the summer months. Inland areas are pretty mild.
The Jura mountains have an alpine climate and can get cold in
winter.
The city of Brest is located
in Brittany, the westernmost and most maritime region of France.
It has an average temperature of 43° F in January and 61°
F in July with moderate rainfall of about 35 inches per year.
The westerly winds that blow constantly can effect large variations
in the weather.
