Irán Barrantes

Irán Barrantes has a degree in Accounting and is studying International Commerce. He has been with ILISA for a total of 6years. Irán is the local prankster of the school. He is always ready with a joke to lighten up a situation. He works as a professor because, as he will tell you, he loves to teach. Judging from the student's very positive response to his classes, it shows in his work.

Leda Rodríguez JiménezLeda Rodríguez Jiménez is the school's local artist. She has a degree in Dramatic Arts, Modern Dance and Ballet and still participates in theater and dance performances. She also has a Master's degree in Literature. Leda started working with ILISA two years ago. You can be sure that she will bring a lot of creative energy to the class room as well, as she features a very dynamic classroom with as much conversation as possible.

Antonio McLean GreyAlthough Antonio McLean Grey earned his degree as a systems analyst in Romania, he has taught Spanish as a second language for more than 11 years. He recently returned to ILISA after a 4 year absence. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, the theater and reading.

Rebeca Cabrera NavarroRebeca Cabrera Navarro says, "One of the most important experiences of working as a teacher at ILISA is the satisfaction of not just teaching, but also learning about students and their cultures and customs, and understanding their goals and trying to help them reach them." In her free time, Rebecca enjoys reading and listening to music.

Harold Herrera GómezHarold Herrera Gómez earned his degree in English and Spanish at the University of Costa Rica. He ended up teaching Spanish because he "fell in love with (his) language." When he started teaching 7 years ago, his first students were Japanese. They taught him that communication is much more than grammar and helped him develop his teaching philosophy: people learn to communicate by communicating.

Michelle CastroMichelle Castro is an English major and has been teaching English andSpanish since 1994. She enjoys teaching and learning about different cultures. She spent a year studying in Iowa where she met people from 26 different countries. In her free time she enjoys camping, watching movies and going out with friends.
