Azalea Morales
has been with ILISA since the school first opened in 1987, which
makes her the most senior teacher at ILISA. Her educational background
is in the Spanish language. A former Peace Corps language trainer,
Azalea is most easily recognized by her high energy, infectious
laugh, and bold singing at lunchtime.
Francisco
Estevanovich is one of the most senior teachers with 9 years
at ILISA. Francisco has a degree in Spanish Linguistics and Literature
and is working "off and on" on his master's thesis. Francisco's
classes are characterized as very dynamic, engaging and with no
time to sit back. Participation 200%.
Ana
Lorena Alfaro has 2 full-time jobs--she works at ILISA and
is the mother of 4. She's been with ILISA since 1993, has a degree
in Sociology and is currently studying human resources management.
Although born in Puebla, Mexico, she's a Costa Rican citizen. As
part of the cultural program, Ana leads an energetic workshop on
non-verbal communication. Ana Lorena's high energy level is contagious!
Gaby
Cerrate, a native of Peru, has been with ILISA for 3 years.
She holds adegree in Russian Linguistics which she earned in Karkov,
in what is now the Ukraine. While living in the former USSR she
had the opportunity to travel to many countries in Eastern and Western
Europe. Since returning to Latin America in 1989 she has dedicated
herself to teaching Spanish as a second language, a skill she learned
during her years in the former USSR. She's married to an architect,
so should you ever want to build a vacation home in Costa Rica,
talk with Gaby.
Carlos
Francisco Rojas is Francisco's cousin and has been with ILISA
since 1990. Although his original studies are archeology and cultural
anthropology, teaching is what he likes to do most. In addition
to his classes, he organizes visits to Costa Rica's National Museum
as a part of the cultural program. He is currently studying French
and English and seems to know at least something about absolutely
everything!
