Activities: ILISA
Immerse
yourself in the Costa Rican culture
Communicating in another language requires more than just grammar
and vocabulary. It requires an understanding of another culture.
To help you gain this knowledge, ILISA offers a variety of different
cultural activities which are a rewarding addition to your Spanish
program.
 As
a part of this program, you will have the opportunity to learn about
the country, its history, and the people. In addition to lectures,
ILISA offers trips to places of interest such as museums, and a
night at the theater. You can join as many activities as you like
during your program at ILISA. All activities begin after 3:15 p.m.
which means that you will not have to miss any of your classes to
participate. Normally, ILISA plan 3 activities each week and, best
of all, all activities are free!
Activities vary from week-to-week.
Among the offerings:
- Lectures on Costa Rican society and culture
- Latin dance classes
- A lecture and slide-show about Costa Rica's
National Park system
- Guided visits to the National Museum with
an anthropologist
- Cooking classes
- A guided visit to the historic Central Market
- Y mucho mas!
