The city center of Cordoba is known as Plaza San Martin. If you are beginning an exploration of the city, this is the place to start. Within a short distance you will encounter the Basilica Nuestra Senora de la Merced, the Iglesia San Roque, and the Basilica de Santo Domingo. The commercial center of Cordoba is just to the NW of the plaza. In the commercial area you will find an abundance of shopping areas, restaurants, bars, etc. To the south you will find Parque Sarmiento.
